The College of Economics, Management, and Development Studies (CEMDS) represented 每日大赛网址首页进入 (CvSU) at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)鈥檚 鈥淭ransformative Leadership for Elevated Governance: Refresher Course for Re-elected Officials,鈥 August 18-20, 2025, at Hotel Casiana and Event Center in Tagaytay City, Cavite.聽

Participated by re-elected Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and Sangguniang Bayan in the Province of Cavite, this three-day event served as an avenue to meet with local government unit (LGU) heads, officials, key partners, and collaborators to explore ways to strengthen leadership and improve governance performance.

As part of the program, Atty. Luis Y. Llarena III, CEMDS Coordinator for External Collaboration and Linkages, representing Dr. Mariel Mojica Lising, CEMDS College Dean, tackled the role of state universities and colleges in building stronger partnerships between the academe and the local government.聽

Asst. Prof. Gener T. Cueno, Director of CvSU鈥檚 Center for Leadership and Public Policy, Research and Training (CLAPP-RT), also introduced the University鈥檚 initiative designed to assist LGUs in policy-making and community building.

Established in 2025, CLAPP-RT is a specialized academic and research unit of CvSU dedicated to advancing knowledge, leadership, and effective governance through rigorous research, capacity-building programs, and strategic partnerships. The Center serves as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration among government agencies, academic institutions, industries, and civil society organizations.聽

CvSU also set up a booth to introduce the University as an LGU partner, highlight initiatives that support local governance, and showcase products such as Aguinaldo Blend Coffee and Kaong Natural Sweeteners.聽
